Hey everyone, just wanted to share some sad news. David Soul, the actor who played Detective Kenneth “Hutch” Hutchinson in the classic 70s TV show Starsky & Hutch, has passed away at the age of 80.

You might not know Starsky & Hutch if you’re younger, but it was a really popular cop show back in the day. David Soul was one-half of the awesome duo, with his partner Starsky (played by Paul Michael Glaser). They drove a cool red car, chased bad guys, and had a great friendship that made people love the show even more.

David wasn’t just an actor—he was also a singer! He had a hit song called “Don’t Give Up on Us” in the 70s that lots of people still remember. It’s kind of cool how he had both TV and music success.

His wife, Helen, said he died peacefully, surrounded by family. She called him a beloved husband, father, and grandfather, which shows how much he meant to the people around him—not just fans, but also his loved ones.
